Whether you live in a small town or a big city, parades are a staple no matter where you go. A parade helps show unity throughout the community while celebrating a specific event — not to mention it’s a perfect opportunity for a local business to get its name out there.

Think parades are obsolete? Think again. The biggest parade of them all, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, has approximately 3.5 million spectators along the parade route every year according to an article in Advertising Age. That doesn’t even include the amount of people who watch it on television, which happens to be a staggering 50 million viewers.

Although most parades are not quite to this scale, they are certainly still popular and are sure to gather a big audience of all ages and demographics.

Wondering how this ties in with promotional products? Think about it. As you watch the parade pass by, how many times do you see parade participants not only throw out candy, but toss out promotional products to spectators. Hence, the perfect opportunity to gain impressions for your business!
